AMD Big Navi, RX 6000, Navi 2x, RDNA2, has come out of its shell with highly efficient performance, and every graphic card geek has higher expectations from it. It is a powerful trio of graphic cards, beating Nvidia’s finest GPUs also known as Nvidia-killer.

The small AMD Big Navi chips have a greater chance to take the pole position of the GPU series and may be considered as the best graphics card in the future. AMD officially released Big Navi on October 28, 2020, with high-quality specs for the RX 6900 XT, RTX 6800 XT, and RTX 6800. On March 3, 2021, it moved on to the next phase of RDNA2 with Navi 22 and the RX 6700 XT, but still, there are some RDNA2 products yet to be announced.

Big Navi with RDNA2 architecture that powers RX 6000 / Big Navi / Navi 2x. Let’s highlights its general features, price, and upcoming launches:

  • Up to 80 CUs / 5120 shaders/ 2015MHz
  • 50% better performance per watt
  • Pricing of $579, $640 and $999 for RX 6800, RX 6800 XT and RX 6900 XT
  • Navi 22 and RX 6700 XT coming on March 18
  • The official price of $479 for the 6700 XT

AMD Big Navi is impressive due to Nvidia’s strongest graphics cards for RX 6900 XT, targetting the RTX 3090.

As we look back, the first generation RDNA graphics card has 40 compute units, with 2,560 Stream Processors (SPs), assisted with a game frequency of 1,755 MHz, while, Radeon RX 6800 XT is consists of 72 Compute Units, with a game frequency of 2,015MHz. But, today, the AMD Big Navi series with RDNA2 core hit the number with a 50% better performance per watt rate than RDNA1. This is a huge shunt to top competitors by delivering 33% less power or 50% higher performance with the same power.

Some AMD Big Navi specs are publicized down below:

AMD Radeon RX 6800 specs:

  • 60 compute units
  • 1,815MHz game clock
  • 2,150MHz boost clock
  • 128MB Infinity cache
  • 16GB GDDR6 memory
  • 250W total board power

AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT specs:

  • 72 compute units
  • 2,015MHz game clock
  • 2,250MHz boost clock
  • 128MB Infinity cache
  • 16GB GDDR6 memory
  • 300W total board power

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT specs:

  • 80 compute units
  • 2,015MHz game clock
  • 2,250MHz boost clock
  • 128MB Infinity cache
  • 16GB GDDR6 memory
