So yeah climate change is the new catchphrase of the 21st Century especially after Greta Thunberg and Bill Gates’s recent book titled “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster”. This topic has been center of some heated debates for quite some time now. Fortunately, the tech side is trying to resolve this matter. One such company have come up with a solution that can “smartly” handle this problem.
The one of its kind company is bringing a much “needed transformation”. Spacemaker is a cloud-based AI software that helps teams analyze, collaborate and plan real estate sites ensuring that better and smart projects are delivered at the lowest risk possible. The main aim of the company is to build sustainable infrastructure which ensures that environmental pollution is decreased while also helping companies grow. In this way, they act in alignment with United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 11 which is related to sustainable cities and communities.
The technology company assists real-estate developers, architects, and other relevant stakeholders to make informed decisions based on real data that too before kickstarting the project physically, thus helping in saving the resources. The AI allows the designs to be reiterated and helps in exploring the possibilities. The company harnesses the expertise of several mavens including urban planners, architects, software engineers, designers, management consultants, and data scientists.
One of the solutions provided by the company is site planning. According to the website, the experts at Spacemaker use a variety of data sets and also generate an analysis of over 100 criteria such as daylight, infrastructure, terrain, property boundaries, buildings, traffic, roads, and wind. Also, the AI is efficient enough to provide feasibility studies of the project at hand and amend the site proposals for living and density qualities.
Ander Skauge, Head of Development, OBOS Nye Hjem, one of Nordic’s largest real estate developers said in a statement, “By using Spacemaker you can rapidly test many different alternatives. This allows us to easily optimize for the full potential of a site and at the same time ensure good living qualities, all while adhering to regulatory requirements and norms.”
OBOS Nye Hjem has been associated with Spacemaker since 2019. The company incorporated Spacemaker’s AI-driven products across all its operations in Sweden and Norway. OBOS also started using the products during the early stages of the development of various projects. Spacemaker also generates a uniform 3D model of the site of the building which assists the teammates in taking effective decisions promptly.
Way to go, Spacemaker. Good luck!
